<h1>Government Sets Up Approval Committee for IT SEZ in Tamil Nadu Under Special Economic Zones Act, 2005</h1> The Central Government, under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, has established an Approval Committee for the IT/IT-enabled services Special Economic Zone at Sholinganallur, Tambaram taluka, Kancheepuram District, Tamil Nadu. This SEZ is developed by a corporation in Tamil Nadu. The committee includes various ex-officio members such as the Development Commissioner of the SEZ, officials from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Zonal Joint Director General of Foreign Trade, and representatives from Customs, Income Tax, Finance, and Tamil Nadu's Industrial Development Authority. A representative from the developing corporation is a special invitee.
