Approval Committee Formed for IT SEZ in Kancheepuram Under SEZ Act 2005, Includes Key Government and Industry Members

The Central Government has constituted an Approval Committee for the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) dedicated to information technology and IT-enabled services in Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu, developed by a private company. This committee, established under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, includes various ex-officio members such as the Development Commissioner of the SEZ, officials from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Zonal Joint Director General of Foreign Trade, and representatives from Customs, Income Tax, Finance, and the Tamil Nadu Government. A representative from the developing company is also included as a special invitee.
