Denim Limited Cases under Customs Act 1962.</h1> The Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) has designated the Commissioner of Customs, Tuticorin, as the common adjudicating authority for specified Customs cases. This appointment is made under the powers granted by the Customs Act, 1962. The Commissioner will handle Show Cause Notices previously assigned to various adjudicating authorities, including those in Nhava Sheva, Bangalore, Kolkata, Cochin, Chennai, and Coimbatore. This consolidation aims to streamline the adjudication process for cases involving M/s K.G. Denim Limited. The notification, issued by the Under Secretary to the Government of India, is dated July 25, 2008.
