This amendment establishes a Revision Application Unit within the Ministry of Finance. Specifically, it modifies rule 218B, sub-rule (1), by changing the designation and address of the responsible officer to 'Under Secretary, Revision Application Unit, Government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, 4th Floor, Jeevan Deep Building, Sansad Marg, New Delhi - 110001.' The amendment takes effect upon publication in the Official Gazette.
