<h1>Customs Commissioner Appointed as Common Adjudicator for Agarvanshi Aluminium Case Under Customs Act, 1962</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance's Department of Revenue, has appointed the Commissioner of Customs (Import) at Jawaharlal Nehru Custom House, Maharashtra, as a common adjudicating authority. This appointment is made under the powers granted by the Customs Act, 1962, to adjudicate matters related to a show cause notice issued to M/s Agarvanshi Aluminium Limited. The authority will exercise powers and duties of Commissioners from Nagpur, Hyderabad-II, Kandla, and Chennai for this purpose. The notice was originally issued by the Directorate General of Revenue Intelligence, Ahmedabad, on December 31, 2007.
