of <h1>Amendment modifies Central Excise notifications to include Doon Valley industries under updated environmental guidelines.</h1> Notification No. 54/2003-CE, dated June 20, 2003, amends previous Central Excise notifications under the authority of the Central Excise Act, 1944, and related acts. The amendments pertain to the notifications 49/2003 and 50/2003, both dated June 10, 2003. For both notifications, the entry under 'Activity' is updated to include industries notified under the Doon Valley notification (S.O. 102(E), dated February 1, 1989), as amended by the Ministry of Environment and Forests for the Doon Valley area in Uttaranchal. Further amendments are referenced in Notification No. 76/2003-CE, dated November 5, 2003.
