        <h1>Approval Committee for SEZ established to oversee IT/ITES zone with prescribed ex officio members and developer invitee.</h1> An Approval Committee is constituted for an information technology and information technology enabled services Special Economic Zone established by a private developer, exercising Central Government powers under the Special Economic Zones Act. The Committee is chaired by the Development Commissioner (ex officio) and includes specified ex officio members: a Ministry of Commerce officer or nominee, the Zonal Joint Director General of Foreign Trade, territorial Commissioners of Customs/Central Excise and Income Tax (or nominees), the Director (Banking) in the Ministry of Finance, two State nominated Joint Secretary rank officers, and a developer representative as Special Invitee.
