of <h1>Agro-Processing SEZ at Akola Industrial Area Designated as Inland Container Depot Under Customs Act Section 7</h1> The Central Government has designated June 17, 2008, as the effective date for establishing a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for the agro-processing sector at Akola Industrial Area, Village-Mouje Yevata and Shivapur, Taluka and District-Akola, Maharashtra. This SEZ, proposed by the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), will be recognized as an Inland Container Depot under Section 7 of the Customs Act, 1962, in accordance with the powers granted by Section 53(2) of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005.
