of <h1>Government Forms Approval Committee for Gems and Jewellery SEZ in Maharashtra under SEZ Act, 2005</h1> The Central Government has established an Approval Committee for the gems and jewellery Special Economic Zone (SEZ) located in Village Chirvat and Sangurli, Taluka Panvel, District Raigad, Maharashtra, developed by a private company. This committee is formed under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, and includes several ex-officio members such as the Development Commissioner SEEPZ-SEZ as Chairperson, representatives from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Joint Director General of Foreign Trade, Commissioner of Customs, Commissioner of Income Tax, and others. Additionally, two officers from the Government of Maharashtra and a representative from the developing company are involved.
