of <h1>Amendment to Excise Duty: Printing Frames Exempt, Tariff Headings 5805.11 & 5805.19 Now 10% Duty Rate</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 07/2003-Central Excise, dated March 1, 2003, concerning effective duty rates on certain textile articles. This amendment, issued under Notification No. 31/2003-CE dated April 1, 2003, introduces new entries in the duty table. Specifically, printing frames intended for use within the factory of production are now exempt from duty, while goods under tariff headings 5805.11 and 5805.19 are subject to a 10% duty rate. These changes are made under the authority of the Central Excise Act, 1944, and the Additional Duties of Excise Act, 1957, in the public interest.
