of <h1>India Updates Tariff Values for Brass Scrap to 4453 USD/MT; Other Goods Unchanged Under Customs Act, 1962</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance's Department of Revenue, has issued Notification No. 85/2008-CUSTOMS (N.T.) amending Notification No. 36/2001-Cus (N.T.) dated August 3, 2001. This amendment pertains to the fixation of tariff values for certain goods, including crude palm oil, RBD palm oil, crude palmolein, RBD palmolein, crude soyabean oil, brass scrap, and poppy seeds. The tariff values for most items remain unchanged except for brass scrap, which is set at 4453 USD per metric tonne. This notification is issued under the authority of the Customs Act, 1962.
