of <h1>Notification No. 77/2008-Customs: Commissioner of Customs (Import) Appointed as Adjudicating Authority for Chemical Company Case</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance's Department of Revenue, issued Notification No. 77/2008-Customs (N.T.) on June 23, 2008. This notification appoints the Commissioner of Customs (Import) at Jawaharlal Nehru Custom House, Nhava Sheva, Mumbai, as the common adjudicating authority. This appointment is made under the Customs Act, 1962, to handle adjudication related to a show cause notice issued to a private chemical company in Haryana. The notice was originally issued by the Directorate General of Revenue Intelligence, Delhi Zonal Unit, on May 17, 2007.
