of <h1>Notification No. 74/2008-Customs: Commissioner of Customs (Export) Chennai Appointed as Common Adjudicating Authority for Mumbai, Delhi Cases</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance's Department of Revenue, issued Notification No. 74/2008-Customs (N.T.) on June 23, 2008. It appoints the Commissioner of Customs (Export) in Chennai as the common adjudicating authority. This appointment is under the Customs Act, 1962, enabling the Commissioner to exercise powers and discharge duties for the Commissioners of Customs (Export) in Mumbai and New Delhi. The purpose is to adjudicate matters related to a show cause notice issued to a company by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence in New Delhi.
