Central Government Forms Approval Committee for Apparel SEZ in Ahmedabad Under Special Economic Zones Act, 2005.

The Central Government has established an Approval Committee for the apparel Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. This committee, developed by the Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation, includes the Development Commissioner of the SEZ as Chairperson, and members from various governmental departments such as the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Foreign Trade, Customs, Income Tax, Finance, and local district administration. A representative from the Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation is a special invitee. In the Development Commissioner's absence, a Joint Development Commissioner will substitute.
