Approval Committee constituted for food processing Special Economic Zone, defining ex officio membership and developer representation. The Central Government, invoking sub section (1) of Section 13 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, constitutes an Approval Committee for the food processing SEZ at Samudravalli, Sankalapura, Karnataka. The Committee is chaired ex officio by the Development Commissioner of the SEZ and includes specified ex officio members from central and state departments, the Managing Director of Karnataka Udyoga Mitra, and a developer representative as Special Invitee; provision is made for a Joint Development Commissioner to represent the Chairperson in absence.
