of <h1>New IT Special Economic Zone Approved Under SEZ Act 2005 for Gurgaon District, Covering 12.5975 Hectares.</h1> The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has approved the establishment of a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for information technology and IT-enabled services at Bhondsi, Tehsil Sohna, District Gurgaon, Haryana. This initiative is proposed by a private organization under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. The Central Government has confirmed compliance with the necessary legal requirements and issued a letter of approval on November 26, 2006. The SEZ will cover a total area of 12.5975 hectares, as detailed in the notification, and is officially notified under the relevant sections of the SEZ Act and Rules.
