of <h1>SEZ in Madurai Designated as Inland Container Depot Under Customs Act, Section 7, Effective April 30, 2008.</h1> The Special Economic Zone (SEZ) located at Vadapalanji Village, Madurai South Taluk, and Kinnimangalam Village, Tirumangalam Taluk, Madurai District, Tamil Nadu, is designated as an Inland Container Depot under section 7 of the Customs Act, 1962. This designation is effective from April 30, 2008, as per the powers granted by sub-section (2) of section 53 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. The SEZ is operated by a corporation and focuses on information technology and IT-enabled services.
