of <h1>Government Approves IT and ITES Special Economic Zone Proposal Under SEZ Act 2005 Covering 86.46.5 Hectares</h1> The Central Government has approved the establishment of a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for information technology and IT-enabled services in Vadapalanji Village, Madurai South Taluk, and Kinnimangalam Village, Tirumangalam Taluk, Madurai District, Tamil Nadu. This approval follows the proposal by a corporation under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. The SEZ, covering an area of 86.46.5 hectares, has met all necessary requirements, and a letter of approval was issued on July 26, 2007. The notification is issued in accordance with relevant sections of the Special Economic Zones Act and Rules.
