of <h1>Amended Excise Duty Rates: Zero Duty on Shuttleless Looms, E-Vehicles; Updated Water Filter and Power Specs</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 6/2006-Central Excise, effective from 1st March 2006, concerning the effective rate of duty on goods from Chapter 83 to Chapter 93. The amendments include substituting entries for water filters functioning without electricity and pressurized tap water, adding a new entry for shuttleless projectile looms with zero duty, redefining electrically operated vehicles to include those solely powered by external or battery electrical energy with zero duty, and adjusting power rating specifications in the annexure from 50 KW to 5 KW and above. These changes are made under the Central Excise Act, 1944.
