of <h1>Government Updates IT/ITES SEZ Approval Committee Structure at Siruseri, Chennai; New Chairperson Appointed Under SEZ Act, 2005.</h1> The Central Government has amended the notification S.O. 1244(E) dated July 26, 2007, concerning the Approval Committee for the IT/ITES Special Economic Zone at Siruseri and Egattur, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, developed by a major consulting services company. The amendment, issued under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, modifies paragraph 1 by substituting the Development Commissioner of the Special Economic Zone as the Chairperson, Ex-officio, and omits paragraph 2. This change is documented in notification S.O. 713(E) dated March 25, 2008.
