<h1>India Revises Tariff Values: Brass Scrap at $4327/MT, Poppy Seeds at $5759/MT under Customs Act, 1962.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance's Department of Revenue, has issued Notification No. 28/2008-CUSTOMS (N.T.) amending Notification No. 36/2001-Cus (N.T.) dated 3rd August 2001. Effective from 17th March 2008, this amendment revises the tariff values for Brass Scrap (all grades) to 4327 USD per metric tonne and Poppy seeds to 5759 USD per metric tonne. The notification maintains the existing tariff values for various types of palm oil and crude soybean oil. This amendment is executed under the authority of the Customs Act, 1962.
