<h1>Customs Notification Extends Import Deadline for SAMYUKTA Programme to June 1, 2008, Under Customs Act 1962.</h1> Notification No. 36/2008-Customs, dated 17th March 2008, issued by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, amends the earlier notification No. 39/96-Customs from 23rd July 1996. This amendment pertains to the extension of the deadline for certain imports related to the SAMYUKTA Programme of the Ministry of Defence. Specifically, the date in the notification's table, against serial number 29, is changed from 'the 1st day of December, 2007' to 'the 1st day of June, 2008.' This is enacted under the powers conferred by the Customs Act, 1962.
