of <h1>Central Govt Approves IT SEZ in Sarpavaram, Andhra Pradesh; Later De-notified After 13 Years.</h1> The Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation has been approved by the Central Government to establish a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for information technology and IT-enabled services in Sarpavaram Village, Kakinada Rural, East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh. This approval, granted under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, allows for the development, operation, and maintenance of the SEZ, covering a total area of 10.413 hectares across specific survey numbers. The notification formalizing this SEZ was issued by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry on January 9, 2008. The area was later de-notified on October 8, 2021.
