of <h1>Commissioner of Customs, Amritsar Appointed as Common Adjudicating Authority for Show Cause Notices Under Customs Act, 1962</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance's Department of Revenue, has issued Notification No. 22/2008-Customs (N.T.) appointing the Commissioner of Customs, Amritsar as the common adjudicating authority. This appointment is made under the Customs Act, 1962, for adjudicating matters related to show cause notices concerning M/s P.R. Product and M/s Prabhat Fertilizer and Chemical Works. The Commissioner will exercise powers and duties previously held by the Commissioners of Customs at Jawahar Customs House, Nhava Sheva, Maharashtra, and Inter Container Depot, Tughlakabad, New Delhi.
