of <h1>Central Government amends customs notification to exempt specified goods from special CVD; updates serial numbers in table.</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 20/2006-Customs, dated March 1, 2006, to exempt certain specified goods from the special countervailing duty (CVD) on imported goods. The amendments involve omitting Serial Numbers 11 and 12 from the notification's table and substituting 'S. Nos. 17 and 28' with 'S. Nos. 17, 28, and 28A' in paragraph 2. These changes are enacted under the powers conferred by the Customs Act, 1962, and are deemed necessary in the public interest. The principal notification was last amended on January 10, 2008.
