of <h1>India Sets January 25, 2008, as Effective Date Under Section 133 of Finance Act 2007</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance's Department of Revenue, issued Notification No. 06/2008-Central Excise (N.T.) on January 24, 2008. This notification designates January 25, 2008, as the effective date for the purposes specified in clause (ii) of section 133 of the Finance Act, 2007. This action is taken under the authority granted by the mentioned clause and section of the Finance Act. The notification is to be published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i).
