of <h1>Government Approves Tax-Free Bonds for Water and Sewer Projects in Tamil Nadu, Issued by Water and Sanitation Fund</h1> The Central Government has specified Tax-free Pooled Finance Development Bonds under the Pooled Finance Development Fund Scheme. These bonds are issued by the Water and Sanitation Pooled Fund, Tamil Nadu, to partially fund projects by seven Urban Local Bodies under the Water Supply and Underground Sewerage Schemes in Tamil Nadu. The bonds have a tenure of ten years with a five-year principal moratorium and a total issue size of forty-five crore rupees, offering an interest rate not exceeding 8% per annum. The issuance is subject to guidelines from the Ministry of Urban Development and must occur within twelve months from the notification date.
