of <h1>Export Ban Amended: 50,000 Metric Tons of Non-Basmati Rice Approved for Bangladesh Under Foreign Trade Act 1992.</h1> Notification No. 60 (RE-2007)/2004-2009, issued by the Central Government on December 6, 2007, amends Notification No. 38 dated October 15, 2007, regarding the prohibition on the export of non-basmati rice. The amendment specifies that the prohibition does not apply to the export of 50,000 metric tons of rice to Bangladesh by a designated company, following an international tender opened by the Government of Bangladesh on October 8, 2007. This amendment is enacted under the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, and is issued in the public interest.
