of <h1>India Amends Customs Notification: New Tariff Items 3918909003 and 630503 Added for Drawback Rates Effective April 2007</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has issued Notification No. 119/2007-Customs (N.T.) dated December 13, 2007, amending Notification No. 68/2007-Customs (N.T.) from July 16, 2007. This amendment, effective from April 1, 2007, involves the insertion of new tariff items '3918909003' and '630503' in the existing schedule that determines the rates of drawback. The notification is issued under the powers conferred by various sections of the Customs Act, Central Excise Act, and Finance Act, in alignment with the Customs, Central Excise Duties and Service Tax Drawback Rules, 1995.
