of <h1>India Updates Customs Drawback Rates with Notification No.118/2007; Changes in Tariff Items for Lamps, Aluminium, Textiles</h1> The Government of India has issued Notification No.118/2007-Customs (N.T.) amending Notification No.68/2007-Customs (N.T.) dated 16th July 2007, concerning customs drawback rates. Effective from 1st April 2007, the amendments include updates to tariff items and entries in the Schedule. Changes involve specific tariff items in chapters 94, 76, and 57, such as the substitution of entries for lamps and lighting fittings, aluminium artware/handicrafts, and textiles made of wool, silk, and man-made fibers. These amendments are made under the powers conferred by relevant sections of the Customs Act, Central Excise Act, and Finance Act.
