of <h1>Foreign Trade Policy Amended: EOUs Can Supply LPG to Domestic Oil Companies at Subsidized Prices Under New Clause 6.9.</h1> The Central Government has amended the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2004-2009 to include a new clause in Paragraph 6.9. This clause allows the supply of LPG produced in Export Oriented Unit (EOU) refineries to public sector domestic oil companies for distribution to household consumers at subsidized prices under the Public Distribution System (PDS) Kerosene and Domestic LPG Subsidy Scheme, 2002. The supply is contingent upon the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas denying export permission and the Ministry of Finance allowing duty-free LPG imports for the PDS Scheme. This amendment is issued in the public interest.
