of <h1>Export of Non-Basmati Rice Allowed if Stored in Kakinada by October 10, 2007, per Govt Amendment</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 38(RE-2007)/2004-09 concerning the prohibition on the export of non-basmati rice. Effective immediately, rice brought into the godowns of Kakinada city by October 10, 2007, as certified by the Andhra Pradesh State Government, is permitted for export. This amendment is issued under the authority of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, and the Foreign Trade Policy 2004-2009, in the public interest.
