<h1>New Exchange Rates for Foreign Currencies to INR Announced Under Customs Act, 1962, Effective October 1, 2007</h1> Notification No. 100/2007 issued by the Government of India's Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, supersedes the previous Notification No. 89/2007. Effective from October 1, 2007, it determines the exchange rates for converting specified foreign currencies to Indian Rupees for export goods under the Customs Act, 1962. The exchange rates are listed in two schedules: Schedule I provides the rate for one unit of various foreign currencies, including the US Dollar at 39.55 INR and the Euro at 55.70 INR, while Schedule II specifies the rate for 100 units of the Japanese Yen at 34.30 INR.
