of <h1>CBDT Amends Notification S.O. 733(E): Changes to Chief Commissioners in Ahmedabad and Kolkata, New Serial No. 96 Added.</h1> The Central Board of Direct Taxes has amended Notification No. S.O. 733(E) dated 31st July 2001, under the powers conferred by Section 120 of the Income-tax Act, 1961. The amendments involve changes in the Schedule 1 of the notification, including the omission of serial no. 34 and modifications to serial nos. 35, 59, and 60, which now list various Chief Commissioners and Commissioners of Income-tax in Ahmedabad and Kolkata. Additionally, a new serial no. 96 is inserted for the Chief Commissioner of Income-tax in Kolkata. These changes are effective from the date of publication in the Official Gazette.
