of <h1>Excise Duty Exemption Amendments: Changes to Notifications for EPZs and FTZs under Central Excise Act, 1944</h1> The Central Government has amended certain notifications related to excise duty exemptions for Export Processing Zones (EPZs) and Free Trade Zones (FTZs) under the Central Excise Act, 1944, and the Additional Duties of Excise Act, 1957. Specifically, entries against serial numbers 1, 2, 6, and 8 in Annexure II of Notification No. 126/94-CE and Annexure I of Notification No. 37/2000-CE have been omitted. These amendments are deemed necessary in the public interest and are detailed in Notification No. 52/2001-CE, dated November 6, 2001.
