of <h1>Excise Duty Benefits Extended to United Nations World Food Programme Under Amended Notification No. 36/2001-CE</h1> The Central Government, under the powers of the Central Excise Act, 1944, and the Additional Duties of Excise Act, 1975, has amended Notification No. 108/1995-CE dated August 28, 1995, to include the United Nations World Food Programme in the list of entities eligible for excise duty benefits on supplies. This amendment, issued through Notification No. 36/2001-CE dated July 6, 2001, is made in the public interest and adds the World Food Programme as serial number 7 in the annexure of the original notification. The principal notification was previously amended on November 2, 1999.
