of <h1>Vision Research Foundation Approved as Scientific Research Association Under Section 35(1)(ii) of Income-tax Act 1961</h1> The Central Government has approved the Vision Research Foundation, Chennai, as a scientific research association under Section 35(1)(ii) of the Income-tax Act, 1961, for the period from April 1, 2006, to March 31, 2009. The organization must maintain separate accounts for its research activities and submit audited Income & Expenditure accounts annually to the relevant tax authorities. Additionally, a certificate from auditors must accompany these accounts, specifying the amount received for scientific research and confirming that the expenditures were for such research. This approval is formalized under Notification No. 359/2006, dated November 30, 2006.
