of <h1>Excise Duty Rates for Textile Fabrics Under Central Excise Act: Notification No. 19/2000-CE, Effective Until March 2001</h1> Notification No. 19/2000-CE, dated March 1, 2000, issued under the Central Excise Act, 1944, sets excise duty rates for processed textile fabrics produced by independent processors using hot-air stenters. For fabrics valued up to Rs. 30 per sq.mtr., the duty is Rs. 2.00 per sq.mtr. until March 31, 2000, and Rs. 3.00 thereafter. For fabrics valued above Rs. 30 per sq.mtr., the duty is Rs. 2.50 per sq.mtr. until March 31, 2000, and Rs. 3.50 thereafter. The notification excludes composite mills and prohibits duty credit on inputs or capital goods. The notification was rescinded on March 1, 2001.
