of <h1>Government Amends Excise Duty: Notification No. 33/2007 Sets Nil Rate for Goods in Headings 1507-1515, Excluding Crude Palm Stearin.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has issued Notification No. 33/2007-Central Excise, amending Notification No. 3/2006-Central Excise dated March 1, 2006. This amendment, effective from August 2, 2007, modifies the effective rate of duty on goods classified under Chapter 1 to Chapter 25 of the Central Excise Tariff. Specifically, the amendment substitutes the previous entries for S.No. 9 in the notification's table, setting the duty rate for goods classified under headings 1507 to 1515, excluding crude palm stearin, to nil.
