<h1>Amendment to Foreign Trade Policy Allows Export of Spares Up to 5% of FOB Value, No Tax Benefits</h1> The Central Government has amended the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2004-2009, effective as of July 20, 2007. Under the new amendment, paragraph 6.2(h) allows the procurement and export of spares or components up to 5% of the Free on Board (FOB) value of exports to the same consignee or buyer of the export article. This provision will not be eligible for Net Foreign Exchange (NFE) and direct tax benefits. The amendment is issued in the public interest by the Director General of Foreign Trade.
