of <h1>India Sets Up Approval Committee for Indore SEZ Under SEZ Act 2005, Includes Key Government Officials</h1> The Central Government of India has constituted an Approval Committee for the Indore Special Economic Zone under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. The committee comprises various ex-officio members, including the Development Commissioner as Chairperson, representatives from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Joint Director General of Foreign Trade, and officials from the Central Excise and Income Tax departments. Additionally, two officers from the Government of Madhya Pradesh and a representative from the M.P. Audyogik Kendra Vikas Nigam Indore Limited are included. In the Development Commissioner's absence, a Joint Development Commissioner will represent him.
