of <h1>Approval Committee Formed for Surat Apparel Park Under Special Economic Zones Act, 2005</h1> The Central Government of India has established an Approval Committee for the Surat Apparel Park under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. The committee is chaired by the Development Commissioner of the Kandla Special Economic Zone and includes members from various government departments such as the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Central Excise Department, the Income Tax Department, and the Banking Division of the Ministry of Finance. Additional members include representatives from the Surat District administration and the Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation. In the absence of the Development Commissioner, a Joint Development Commissioner will represent him.
