of <h1>Customs Duty Exemption for Handloom and Handicraft Effluent Treatment Machinery Updated Under Notification No. 73/2007-Cus.</h1> Notification No. 73/2007-Cus, dated May 21, 2007, amends Notification No. 21/2002-Cus to provide customs duty exemptions for machinery or equipment used in effluent treatment plants for the handloom and handicraft sectors. The amendments insert new entries in the notification table, specifying that machinery or equipment under Chapter 84 or any other relevant chapter will have a standard rate of 'Nil' duty. Additionally, the condition for effluent treatment plants is updated to include the handloom and handicraft sectors alongside the leather industry. These changes are made under the authority of the Customs Act, 1962.
