of <h1>India Amends Export of Services Rules: New Service Categories Added, Key Phrases Removed from Rule 3 Effective June 2007</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has issued Notification No. 30/2007, amending the Export of Services Rules, 2005. Effective from June 1, 2007, these amendments modify Rule 3 by expanding the list of services in sub-rule (1), clause (i) to include additional categories (zzzy, zzzz, zzzza) and removing the phrase 'provided outside India' from sub-rule (2), clause (b). These changes are enacted under the authority of sections 93 and 94 of the Finance Act, 1994. The principal rules were initially notified in March 2005 and last amended in March 2007.
