of <h1>Exemption limits for body building parts under Central Excise Act raised to Rs. 150 per sq. meter.</h1> The Central Government has amended the exemption provisions for body building parts and components under the Central Excise Act, 1944, and the Additional Duties of Excise Act, 1957. The amendments, effective from September 4, 1998, modify the notification No. 9/96-CE dated July 23, 1996. Specifically, for items listed under serial numbers 4 and 22 in the notification's table, the exemption limit has been increased from Rs. 100 to Rs. 150 per square meter. These changes are deemed necessary in the public interest.
