<h1>Amendment to Foreign Trade Policy: No Transitional Arrangements for Pulse Exports with LCs from June 22, 2006.</h1> The Central Government, under the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, has amended Notification No. 15 to state that the transitional arrangements in the Foreign Trade Policy, 2006, do not apply to the export of pulses against irrevocable Letters of Credit (LC) opened on or after June 22, 2006. This decision follows the government's announcement and widespread publicity on June 22, 2006, prohibiting the export of pulses. This notification, issued in the public interest, is signed by the Director General of Foreign Trade and is addressed to all concerned parties.
