of <h1>Foreign Trade Policy Amended: Sub-para 8.2(d) Updated for International Competitive Bidding on Multilateral-Funded Projects</h1> The Central Government has amended the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-2009, under the authority of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992. The amendment pertains to sub-para 8.2(d), concerning the supply of goods to projects financed by multilateral or bilateral agencies or funds. These projects, notified by the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, will undergo International Competitive Bidding. The bidding process allows for tender evaluation without including customs duty and permits bids based on Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) prices for goods manufactured abroad. This change aims to streamline the tender process for such projects.
