of <h1>New Excise Tariff Entry 27A: Processed Tyre Cord Fabrics Get Excise Duty Exemption if Duties Already Paid</h1> The Central Government, under the authority of the Central Excise Act, 1944, and the Additional Duties of Excise Act, 1957, has amended a previous notification from July 1996. The amendment introduces a new entry, 27A, in the excise tariff table. This entry pertains to processed tyre cord fabrics manufactured from unprocessed tyre cord fabrics on which the appropriate excise or additional customs duty has already been paid. The rate of duty for these processed tyre cord fabrics is set at nil, indicating an exemption from further excise duty.
