It eases documentation requirements by allowing government departments handling exports and imports to accept permissions or licenses from other departments without requiring fresh submissions of documents like shipping bills and bank realization certificates. Additionally, it revises the issuance of Advance Licences for duty-free import of inputs, exempting them from various duties except for imports under specific provisions which remain subject to anti-dumping and safeguard duties. These changes are enacted under the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, in the public interest.
