<h1>Central Government Amends Foreign Trade Policy: DFRC Issuable for SEZ Supplies, DTA Suppliers Get Export Benefits Under Notification No. 18/2004-09</h1> Notification No. 18/2004-09, dated January 18, 2005, issued by the Central Government under the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992, amends the Foreign Trade Policy 2004-09. The amendment adds that Duty Free Replenishment Certificate (DFRC) can be issued for supplies made to Special Economic Zones (SEZs). Additionally, Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) suppliers are entitled to benefits such as Drawback, Duty Entitlement Pass Book (DEPB), DFRC, and Advance Licence, and they may discharge export performance obligations, if applicable. This notification is issued in the public interest by the Director General of Foreign Trade.
